A message from the MNLP President during COVID-19

To our Minnesota leather and kink community,

As we share the experience of these unusual and unpredictable times together, Minnesota Leather Pride has suspended in-person events for the short-term. We are also looking at our remaining events for the year. In some cases, events may be postponed from when they would normally occur and in other cases we’re reformatting them so they can be conducted safely via online tools. In still other cases, we may decide to cancel the event all together.

Our most pressing events are Twin Cities Pride and MNLP Weekend. Our MNLP Weekend committee is actively meeting to make safe decisions around our upcoming August weekend so that we can best serve our community. This year’s Twin Cities Pride Festival will not be happening in-person so we have a small committee working on ways to interact over TC Pride weekend – we hope to announce details soon! And of course, we’ll continue to promote our community any way we can during this time.

The MNLP Board has continued to meet virtually in April and May. We will continue to do so on our regular monthly schedule (2nd Monday of each month) until it is safe to meet in person again. Our meetings are open to the public and we encourage any interested community members to reach out to us via the contact form at www.mnleatherpride.org at least one day in advance so we can add you to the meeting attendee list.

And a quick reminder for you, Dogtags and other MNLP merchandise are still available for purchase online. We are able to ship directly to you if you are interested in supporting MNLP in that way.

Our community is strong, resilient, and we remain dedicated to furthering the spirit of leather in Minnesota at all times, now and in the future. Thank you, our community for your continued support, and keeping each other in your hearts.

Yours in Leather,

Kurt Patton
MNLP President
