2022 MNLP Community Membership and Pride Booth Update

Greetings from the Minnesota Leather Pride Board of Directors!

It’s been a while since we’ve reached out to our community’s members, organizations, and business owners regarding what we use to call sponsorship. The pandemic gave us time to evaluate this structure and determine if it best served our needs and community.

As a result of this evaluation, we are now simply calling this Minnesota Leather Pride Community Membership. Your participation as community members will continue to help us create cross-community services and events, like our annual Leather Pride booth at Twin Cities Pride.

Before we lay out the new structure, let’s go over what is not changing:

  • Everyone is still welcome to join us for any board meeting or committee meeting they are interested in attending.
  • Everyone can still ask MNLP for assistance with events, donations, and other items.
  • We ask organizations, clubs, and groups to volunteer to help staff our MNLP booth at the Twin Cities Pride festival.

So what is changing?

  • There is no longer a monetary or time commitment required to be listed as an MNLP Community member,
  • Instead, we will have tiers of membership that cover the commitment made to MNLP by your organization.

Membership Tiers:

  • Community Member:
    • Organizations that provide us with their logo and information to share on our website, social media, and anywhere else we recognize our community. (MNLP reserves the right to decline, including any organizations that we feel would not be a good match with MNLP).
    • Any group that was a sponsor during 2020/2021 will continue as Community Members on our website and social media for 2022.
  • Partner Member:
    • Groups/organizations/businesses that have done any of the following:
      • A member has attended an MNLP meeting at least once during a calendar quarter (board/committee membership not required)
      • A member has volunteered at a minimum of one event in the last calendar year.
      • Any donation of money, goods, or other in-kind items
  • Stakeholder Member:
    • Organizations with at least one member on the MNLP Board of Directors or is an active member of one of our committees (ex: events or outreach). Board membership is not required for committee membership.

We will share updates for these designations quarterly or every six months.

We are looking forward to this new way of engaging and connecting with community organizations, and we hope you are too.

If you would like to send your information for inclusion in MNLP Community Membership, please send the following to our Social Media team:
