Every flag this size needs a checkup. We laid the giant Minnesota Leather Pride flag out one more time this season, looked it over seam by seam, and prepared to carefully fold it away for the winter.

But since we had it spread out… we did the obvious thing and got 32 people to lie down on it.

33 of us made it happen on August 26: 32 holding down edges, stretching corners, and lying flat in the grass, plus one drone pilot overhead. Thanks to everyone who came out, and to the volunteers who hauled, unfolded, inspected, and refolded a flag this size. It is not a small job.

This one came together on short notice at the tail end of a packed summer events calendar, and we know plenty of folks couldn’t make it work. We hear you. Next year, earlier in the summer, on the calendar with enough notice to bring everyone.
