Cruising for Sex in a Burning Building is a live action roleplaying game about intimacy and community connection through kink, set in the underground gay men’s leather scene in the 1980s under the shadow of the AIDS epidemic.
This isn’t a kink event, it’s a collaborative and interactive narrative experience somewhat like interactive theater or a tabletop roleplaying game. Real kink, real sex, and real nudity aren’t part of this event. Players will use a variety of embodied techniques to stand in for BDSM play. Play is an emotional mix of discovery and anxiety as characters decide how to re-enter BDSM while forsaking the exchange of body fluids.
Grab a ticket online in order to attend, and first-time roleplay-gamers are welcome! Tickets are sliding-scale, including a free option. Because this event is held in a public building, dress code is street-legal.
